Beginning Quilting II- Advanced

This class will give you a little more of a challenge than a beginner's class! The goal of this class is to build your piecing and cutting skills and introduce new techniques. It is suitable for anyone comfortable with a rotary cutter and a 1/4" seam. The techniques in this class are designed to be more challenging. You will be introduced to the following:

• Flying Geese
• Quarter-Square Triangles
• Square in a Square
• Curved Piecing
• Setting Blocks on Point
• Sashing
• Cornerstones
• Mitered Borders

It sounds like a lot, but don't panic! You will be making one of each block variation and the techniques aren't as scary as they look and sound! At the conclusion of the 5-week course, you will have completed a beautiful and unique 54" square quilt top ready for quilting in the method of your choosing. 

You will receive a supply list and pre-cutting instructions upon registration. 

Skill Level:	Intermediate
Skill Details:	You will make a 54" square quilt top that incorporates the following piecing techniques: Flying Geese units, Quarter-Square Triangles, Square in a Square, Curved Piecing, Setting Blocks on Point, Sashing, Cornerstones, and Mitered Borders.
Materials Included:	Ironing stations and cutting tables are provided. You need your own rotary cutter & rulers.
Requirements:	Appropriate for students who have completed Beginning Quilting I Class. The Beginning Quilting 1 class is NOT a prerequisite. However, you should be comfortable with a rotary cutter and a 1/4" seam.
